About Us
Ronesa Aveela is “the creative power of two.” Two authors, that is. Under this name, they write nonfiction and children’s stories. Under the name R.N. Aveela, they’ve begun a journey into adult fantasy fiction.
Nelly was born in Eastern Europe, a land brimming with superstitions and legends, where even shadows tell tales. She moved to the U.S. in the 1990s, bringing with her enchanting tales of her homeland. When not weaving words, she paints and eats chocolate. Nelly is married, a proud mother of two, and an avid pet lover, sharing her home with a beloved rescued cat.
Rebecca, a lifelong New Englander, has a professional background in publishing. She comes from a family of avid readers. Anyone visiting her childhood home felt as if they were entering a library. She’s fascinated with folklore, which fuels her writing. When she’s not deep in the world of magic and mystery, you can find her baking sweet treats.
Together, their books open a door to a world filled with fascinating creatures inspired by the magic of Bulgarian, Thracian, and Slavic mythology.
Fantasy and mythology lovers know about elves, gnomes, goblins, and other such creatures. But what does the world, the western world, know about the creatures that haunt the lands of Eastern Europe? Have you heard of Kikimora, Lamia, Zmey, and Baba Yaga? And have you ever heard the Thracian version of the immortal Orpheus?
Ronesa is here to enchant you with that world.
